We are looking for a VP of Engineering to join our team supporting us in the next phase following our Series A. You will report directly to the CEO and ship software running on actual production lines in factories around the world.

Job requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate company vision of “automate everything, maximize human intellect” into strategy and tactics for engineering function

  • Recruit, team build, and retain a world-class engineering team spanning software and hardware

  • Build a culture that is consistent with company values and grow the engineering team professionally

  • Engineer and release quality & reliable real-time mission critical systems running on the manufacturing floor

  • Develop MTBF for hardware systems, security, and IP security protocols

  • Complete roadmap with velocity and efficiency

  • Participate in commercial negotiations with key vendors


Who You Are:

  • 20+ years experience shipping industrial software & hardware integrated systems
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Experience improving quality & reliability of real-time mission critical systems
  • Experience recruiting & team building from 15 to 100+ members in an engineering team
  • Experience developing MTBF for hardware systems
  • Experience developing security for edge computing systems
  • Experience creating IP security protocols including source code protection & access management
  • Experience with commercial negotiations w/ vendors
  • Bonus: Experience w/ DFM, cost down of hardware components
